Tea and Charcoal is an all-natural perfume of healing meditation created by an examination of objects the perfumer uses in her everyday rituals. It includes botanical accords of gunpowder green tea, and a charcoal accord. Hurwitz says, "Tea and Charcoal are some of the most ancient items used in ceremony, meditation, and good health. As soon as I began this meditation, it felt immediately right. I could feel myself diving deeper and deeper into the spirit of the materials and feeling their essence." It also accompanies drawings in charcoal and tea washes that she was making during the 2020 pandemic.
