Don't Explain is one in Hurwitz' Women Artists Series. It is a tribute to singer Billie Holiday and writer, artist and perfume evaluator Ida Meister. Hurwitz pays tribute to both these woman and also worked on the fragrance as a collaborative process of ideas with Ida for a number of years. It is a gardenia-centered perfume with notes of: Orientalgris, Australian sandalwood, bleu cheese nuance accord, butter CO2, castoreum, civet, gardenia, jasmine grandiflorum, leafy green accord, leather, musk, Spanish orange flower absolute, jasmine sambac, tiare absolute, tobacco absolute, tuberose absolute, and white button mushroom accord.
