Ladano by Maese Pau is a fragrance for women and men. Ladano was launched in 2024. The nose behind this fragrance is Pablo Emanuel Locascio Poletto. In Castile in 1500, the good María de Ávila made a liquor that those there called “king's labdanum”. It was laborious to do it and much more to pay for it, since it cost several salaries to get it. His fame came from the story that was told about King Ferdinand, the health and vigor of the Aragonese was due to this Castilian liquor, which according to what they said: "every day he drank the measure of a thimble of those that Doña Isabel used for embroidery." Those in the town said that good Maria would sing her recipe when she made it, without fear of it being stolen, because it was so difficult to get the ingredients. “Myrrh, frankincense and guaiac. All in crushed wine. Sage, lavender and white grapefruit. With cistus smeared. Cedar, cilantro and carnation. Until you reach the level. Rest safely. Until the orange tree blooms And filter with a scouring pad. So that the wine is clear.” This perfume was created in 2010, after a trip to Castilla after they told me the story of the “good María” liquor.
