Jasmynal by Jinx Smells is a fragrance for women and men. Jasmynal was launched in 2022. The nose behind this fragrance is Arthur Clay Emrick. Top notes are Bay Leaf and Black Pepper; middle notes are Natural Musk, Jasmine, Cacao Pod, Incense, Tobacco, Tonka Bean and Vanilla; base notes are Natural Musk, Castoreum, Agarwood (Oud), Animal notes, Sandalwood and Cedar. Pure jasmine and cocoa seduction. Steeped in siberian deer musk, castoreum, and beaver tail oil, this floral animal rests on a bed of ensar’s black sumbawa oud, mysore santal, and cedar, wrapped in layers of tonka, tobacco and spices. This is easily the most polarizing fragrance of the collection. It is so densely saturated in animal ingredients that it somehow defies gravity and a single spray can project across rooms and stay on a test strip for days. “Jasmine and cocoa seduction” marketing language aside, this fragrance was really inspired by an indian market. I spent over a year developing the realistic “nag champa style” incense accord at the heart of this fragrance. Beneath the incense, cocoa and musk there is a bay leaf heavy spice accord that lasts with the oud and cedar well into the dry down.
