Prunier à Minuit by Fitzgerald and Guislain is a Oriental Floral fragrance for women and men. Prunier à Minuit was launched in 2017. Prunier à Minuit or “Plum Tree at Midnight”, is part of our goal for 2017 to create a series of unconventional fruity perfumes. Fruit accords are so often associated with sweet or syrupy gourmand creations, so we wanted challenge ourselves to create a set of fragrances that broke with that tradition and displayed fruity notes in original and unexpected ways. The perfume stars a rich plum accord created by combining tobacco and peach, supported by spicy florals and incense. Prunier à Minuit is an elixir of incense and plum wine inspired by Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai’s “Drinking Alone Under the Moon”. The base notes of wood smoke and incense represent smoke curling up from the distant village that the speaker of the poem might be overlooking as he raises his glass of wine to the moon. Night flowers of tuberose and jasmine swirl with the heady fumes of the plum wine as the speaker dances in intoxicated exhilaration, creating an ambrosial mixture that rises up to the stars on the warm evening air.
