Princess Norina by Prince Matchabelli is a fragrance for women. Princess Norina was launched in 1929. The nose behind this fragrance is Prince Georges V. Matchabelli. Princess Norina was one of the first three perfumes created by Prince Matchabelli, alongside Queen of Georgia and Ave Maria. Named in honor of Prince Georges' wife, Princess Norina Matchabelli (an actress whose stage name was Maria Carmi), this fragrance represents the early pioneering work of the Georgian prince who was an amateur chemist. The perfume was personally blended by Prince Georges himself, who initially created fragrances in the basement of their Madison Avenue antiques shop for notable personalities and society clients. The production of this historic fragrance has since been discontinued.
