"In the Spring, when Pentecost Sunday arrives, it is a time to sing and dance and rejoice that winter is over. It is an explosion of green, of spring flowers and roses… In the Eastern Churches, on Pentecost Sunday, the Church is decorated with many boughs of green branches, with all those beautiful bunches of flowers. From a hole in the top of the basilica or cathedral, called the “Holy Spirit” hole, Rose petals are dropped during the service, commemorating the act of when the Holy Spirit gifted many “tongues” to speak with for the Apostles to talk with crowds of people. It’s a beautiful sight to see rose petals floating down from the ceiling to the central part of the Church during the service… Pentecost perfume is a remembrance of this stunningly beautiful and fantastic smelling event." - a note from the perfumer.
