Narcisse Noir by Caron is a fragrance for women and men. Originally created in 1911, Narcisse Noir has inspired many different artists: Gloria Swanson is said to have demanded that the set of the film Sunset Boulevard be scented with her lucky perfume; Serge Diaghilev’s principal dancers wore it during ballets; and Dita Von Teese is now among its loyal fans. Its transparent inkwell bottle is topped with a black sculpted glass flower, set with thin gold thread. This extreme fragrance uniquely combines the delight of rose and the purity of orange blossom with the arousing notes of sandalwood and musk. These accords evoke the essence of femininity, daring and sensuality. (From the brand's website.)
