With the knowing trees on either side, you slip back into a sweet memory that lingers on. A woody fragrance that unlocks deep thoughts like the early morning mountain air, opening with the subtle, sweet mistiness from Oolong tea and black currant buds, before enveloping into the warm, deep familiarity of classic flora, woods, and leather. Created with Ugo Charron in a poetic depiction of the Taiwanese mountains where precious time stands still. “Being a tea drinker, I quite literally drank my inspiration until the very last drop! What was most interesting about the exercise was the degree of differentiation between all the unique varieties. Taking my time with each tea gave me the opportunity to study the scent profile in each stage—from dry, to the steam in the air from steeping and of course through the taste. Each stage enhances different facets of the tea, whether it be the more animalic or smokey nuances or fruity facets coming to light during the infusion process.” Ugo Charron.
