Our man Pava’s tenor soars over distorted chords and a mad crowd moshing to the climax – no, no, sulla tua bocca lo dirò! – his tie crooked, his tux ripped. Wild Cambodi oud, seashells, more Maroke oud. Smell black tea in Malinau oud, figs and black pepper rolled in cigar leaves dipped in black resin for your Bohemian breakfast the morning after. One black eye, a bruised shoulder, ’O Sole Mio still ringing in your head. Of the three perfumes in the Woke Morisco line, Moshpit Pavarotti is the darkest, most grungy, incense-heavy, with a sensual fig-meets-Thai-oud sweetness piercing through. As decadent as they come.
