Mezcal Chocolat by French Cowboy is a high-strength fragrance built around the contrast of smoky spirits, dark cacao and woods. The composition is described as opening with lime and salted lime nuances, sharpened by chili pepper and olibanum for a bright yet smoky first impression, with a distinctive mezcal and rum effect adding a boozy, aromatic character. At its core, the scent focuses on cacao absolute used in a generous dose to give a dense, chocolate-like facet. The cacao is set on a woody base combining creamy woods, Virginia cedarwood and cypriol oil, together with a soft vanilla nuance that adds warmth and roundness. Created in collaboration with perfumer Mathis Molinié, Mezcal Chocolat is made in France with a vegan formula and is concentrated at around 32% perfume oil, with the brand indicating that it is aged before bottling to develop depth and balance.
