Matcha Ceremonial by Kira is a fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Matcha Ceremonial was launched in 2025. The nose behind this fragrance is Shinichiro Oba. Top notes are Pink Pepper, Bergamot, Violet Leaf, Iris and Watery Notes; middle notes are Matcha Tea, Watermelon, Lily-of-the-Valley and Vanilla; base notes are Hay, Java vetiver oil and Musk. An aroma that recreates the sensation of usucha (薄茶) - the lightly diluted matcha used in the tea ceremony - where a fresh, savory umami meets a silky green note. Created by Japanese perfumer Shinichiro Oba, Matcha Ceremonial honors the qualities of ceremonial matcha: leaves shaded before harvest to increase L-theanin (umami/sweetness) and chlorophyll (green character), which form the foundation for a scent that is at once “sweet-cool” and gently astringent - evoking the subtle tang of suika no kawa (watermelon rind).
