Long-Jing Cha by Raphael Perfumery is a fragrance inspired by Longjing (Dragon Well) green tea from the West Lake region of Hangzhou, a tea celebrated for its refinement and long cultural history. Because Longjing tea itself cannot be directly extracted for use in perfumery, the scent is interpreted through a constructed Long-Jing accord built from aromatic and green nuances. The composition translates the impression of Longjing tea using shiso, bitter orange, orris root and mate alongside tea facets, creating a calm, green and gently citrusy character. Subtle white floral notes of jasmine and honeysuckle, together with pomelo blossom, add softness and a light floral lift to the blend.
