L'Extrait de Spoturno 1921 by Spoturno is a Oriental Floral fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. L'Extrait de Spoturno 1921 was launched in 2025. The nose behind this fragrance is Christopher Sheldrake. Top notes are Lemon, Orange Blossom, Bergamot, Mandarin and Rose; middle notes are Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Ambergris and Lavender; base notes are Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Civet. THE INSPIRATION A jewel-like fragrance that's as admired as it is felt, inspired by the formula books and olfactory creations of François Spoturno. The extract showcases floral and powdery notes. "The fragrance opens with a myriad of notes: rose blossoms and lemon zest, bergamot, orange blossom, and mandarin. Ambergris is joined by lavender flowers, ylang-ylang, and jasmine. Rose blossoms, jasmine, orange blossom, and lingering ambergris and sandalwood enter. Vetiver announces the immensely rich base notes: tonka bean, myrrh, and vanilla. A study that I found fascinating. A journey through time and the opportunity to step into the mind of a perfume genius. Even though all the ingredients of the formula still exist, I wanted this formula to be interpreted in the spirit of the original creator with poetic license, the opportunity to benefit from certain scientific advances. Animal materials have been replaced by recent molecules and the extraction techniques for certain ingredients have made it possible to optimize the olfactory rendering. It was necessary to review the formula, to shake it up with respect, to give this masterpiece of perfumery a certain modernity." "Ambergris accord: Accord composed of notes of algae, calone, cistus labdanum and benzoin. Civet accord: Accord of animal notes bringing roundness and sensuality." -Perfumer Christopher Sheldrake.
