Kyara no Bara by Hunayn is a 2025 perfume composed by Adill Ali, built around a classical rose–oud structure viewed through the lens of East Asian incense traditions. The composition focuses on the interaction between Japanese Rosa rugosa and wild kyara agarwood (kinam), linking the historical rose–oud pairing with the contemplative character of kōdō, the Japanese art of incense appreciation. The opening combines bright Chinese tangerine with a clear rose impression, which gradually deepens as kinam and other agarwood facets emerge. Multiple rose varieties (including Turkish red rose, Chaitri rose, Taifi rose, and Japanese rose) form the floral core, supported by resinous frankincense and frankincense flower, green-resinous pineapple myrtle, and a range of Chinese botanicals such as Du Huo and Ba Zhi. A woody framework of golden silk nanmu, Japanese torreya, and chuan xiang underpins the blend, while an ambergris-and-rose maceration, honeysuckle in the late drydown, and a touch of vintage Maroke oud contribute to a long-lasting, incense-like drydown of rose, aged wood, and soft resins.
