Kujira Densetsu by Senyokô is a Woody Aquatic fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Kujira Densetsu was launched in 2025. The nose behind this fragrance is Michael Nordstrand. Top notes are Shiso, Fennel, boxwood, Timur and Pepper; middle notes are Coleus, Rhododendron, Laminaria and Mimosa; base notes are Seaweed, Ambergris, Violet Leaf, Patchouli and Thailand Oud. "Beneath the waves, where the abyss weeps. A whale’s gift, the ocean keeps. Life blooms anew in death’s embrace, Eternal cycles, nature’s grace.” Kujira Densetsu by Senyoko is a marine-themed fragrance inspired by the natural cycle of life, death, and rebirth in the ocean depths. Drawing on the imagery of a whale’s final descent and its role in nourishing underwater ecosystems, the composition reflects a contrast between the vast, saline sea and denser, shadowy accords beneath the surface. The fragrance opens with a vivid, aromatic-spicy accord of shiso, Japanese boxwood, Timut pepper, and sea fennel, creating a green, slightly salty first impression. The heart introduces more explicitly marine and vegetal nuances through coleus root, laminaria absolute, mimosa, rhododendron, and sweet kelp. In the base, patchouli, violet leaf, seaweed, ambergris, and Prachin oud add depth, warmth, and a darker, woody-marine character, giving the scent a long-lasting, oceanic and earthy drydown.
