Jockey Club by Caswell Massey is a Aromatic Fougere fragrance for men. Top notes are Bergamot, Thyme and Carnation; middle notes are Rose, Orris, Jasmine, Dew Drop and Basil; base note is Powdery Notes. First introduced at New York's Plaza Hotel in 1840, Jockey Club was off to the races, soon becoming the ubiquitous scent from Saratoga to Churchill Downs. Its patrician reputation was affirmed when John F. Kennedy became a dedicated fan more than a century after its launch. Other perfumers have attempted to imitate this iconic scent, but none have succeeded. The original Jockey Club , first introduced at New York’s Plaza Hotel in 1840, is considered to be America’s first “sport” cologne and a favored scent from Saratoga to Churchill Downs. A masculine fougere floral inspired by the bouquet awarded to the fastest horse and jockey in the Winner’s Circle, Jockey Club opens with a vibrant accord of sparkling bergamot, carnation, and thyme. A blend of honeyed rose, jasmine, orris drops, and basil creates an evolving warmth at the heart, leading to a perfect powdery finish.
