Fiat Lux by Sonic Alchemy is a fragrance for women and men. Fiat Lux was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Clancy Baxter. Top notes are Pink Pepper and Iris; middle notes are Jasmine, Lotus, Sweet Orange, Ylang-Ylang, Lily-of-the-Valley and Cyclamen; base notes are Ambrette (Musk Mallow), Sandalwood and Buddha Wood. "This perfume is based on an extract from the piece “And the Lord said, Fiat Lux” by Alice Chance which contains four vocal melodies that are each embodied in different sections of the perfume. The ingredients were chosen to represent concepts of light in both spatial and sacred contexts. The spatial is portrayed by the opening blend of pink pepper and dark iris, which then transitions into an angelic lily of the valley. The sacred elements, lotus flower and other yellow florals, capture the colour aesthetic of light and its mythical importance in ancient cultures. Simply put Fiat Lux is the olfactory interpretation of light in motion. Like light shining through a droplet of cold water. It is the silver lining of a polar stratospheric cloud. It is weightless.
