Chasqui [Tscha-ski] Inca courier whose mission was to deliver news, orders and valuables among the members of the ruling class. The Chasqui-runners relied on their physical strength, on their energy and endurance. Due to their relevance for the Inca elites, the Chasqui had access to the benefits of the coca leaf, which they used as an energizing element.
