Canoe Dana was created for women in 1936, as fresh perfume opposite to Tabu Dana, and it could be seen in ad posters. Since 1960s, in USA it started to be advertised as masculine cologne and after shave lotion, while in Europe and South America the fragrance was advertised as light and fresh fragrance for women. Since 90s, Canoe Dana is advertised as masculine fragrance worldwide.
