WORDS OF THE PERFUMER “Inspired once again by the timeless elegance of Yves Saint Laurent’s blouse, I wanted to create an extrait that transcends the original fragrance to unveil a more majestic, audacious, and fabulous version. To do so, I carefully composed a quartet of roses with exceptional qualities, each one bringing a unique nuance to this new opus.” The composition centers on a multi-faceted rose accord, opening with bright bergamot wrapped in green vegetal, resinous and balsamic nuances that give a crisp, slightly textured freshness. In the heart, several rose materials, including Moroccan rose, rose absolute, damask rose and rose centifolia absolute, are combined to highlight different aspects of the flower, from airy and dewy to rich and enveloping. Ambrette seed absolute and iris butter introduce musky and gently powdery tones. The base rests on amber woods and the woody note Georgywood, complemented by angelica seed, creating a smooth woody-musky drydown that supports the floral core without overpowering it.
