Top notes are Banana and Bubble Gum; middle notes are Amber, Patchouli and Bergamot; base notes are Oud and Madagascar Vanilla. Bananoud by Dara Caro is built around a contrast between sun-warmed tropical fruit and dark, resinous wood. The fragrance is inspired by the idea of a humid island afternoon, where the scent of ripe bananas mingles with dense, smoky air. It seeks to explore the meeting point between the light, familiar character of banana and the depth of oud, treating the fruity accord as a serious central theme rather than a purely playful note. The composition opens with a gourmand accord of banana and bubble gum, creating a creamy, sweet and tropical impression. In the heart, amber, bergamot and patchouli introduce warmth, a touch of citrus brightness and an earthy undertone. The base is defined by oud and Madagascar vanilla, adding smoky, resinous and velvety nuances that anchor the sweetness and give the perfume a deeper, more shadowed drydown.
