This inner struggle has been represented in many works by authors from Russia (P. I. Tchaikovski’s Swan Lake), Denmark (Hans Christian Andersen’s The Wild Swans), in Celtic and Hindu mythology … by the transformation of a Man or a Woman into a swan.
