Vervé Mist of Spring was part of Prince Matchabelli's Verve cologne line launched around 1960 by Chesebrough-Ponds after they acquired the Prince Matchabelli brand in 1958. The Verve collection consisted of six light colognes packaged in plain glass columns with pastel-colored plastic dispenser tops, with Mist of Spring distinguished by its pale lavender blue cap. Despite being well-crafted fragrances in the casual cologne genre, the entire Verve line was discontinued only a few years after its launch due to limited marketing support. The fragrance was noted for its light, delicate character typical of the cologne format of that era.
