Top notes are Honeydew Melon, Tonka Bean, Mandarin, Orange, Lemon and Lavender; middle notes are Gardenia, Violet and Lychee; base notes are Orris, Mysore Sandalwood, Black Tea, Hay and Butter. Panagia's Garden: Gardenia is part of a four-fragrance collaboration between Phronema Perfumes, the Missouri Botanical Garden, and the Stephen and Peter Sachs Museum, released in 2025. Created in dialogue with the living flora of the Garden, these fragrances serve as botanical meditations interpreting the scents encountered along the garden's paths. The composition opens with bright citrus notes of mandarin and orange, combined with lavender, honeydew melon, and tonka bean, creating what is described as a soft lemonade haze. The heart features gardenia as the central floral element, accompanied by grape, violet, and lychee, which create purple-fruited tones around the white floral center. The base develops with hay, orris butter, Mysore sandalwood, and black tea, providing a contemplative dryness and warmth.
