Chéngmén by January Scent Project is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance for women and men. Chéngmén was launched in 2023. The nose behind this fragrance is John Biebel. Top notes are Aldehydes, Fruity Notes, Bergamot and Lemon; middle notes are Champaca, Olive, Coleus, Lily of the Valley, Mimosa and White Pepper; base notes are Cambodian Oud, Thailand Oud, Vietnamese Oud, Costus, Flouve, Green Nard, Benzoin, Sandalwood, Musk, Orris, Cypriol Oil or Nagarmotha and Vanilla. Chéngmén (city gate) is an oud-floral-orris limited edition perfume by January Scent Project. The fragrance is inspired by three rare oud oils, the smells of a Chinese apothecary, and the writings of author Wenfu Lu. The release is accompanied by a short AI-animated film, which is accompanied by a musical composition by perfumer John Biebel. The fragrance notes include top notes of lemon, bergamot, aldehydes, and fruit notes; middle notes of red champaca flower, lily of the valley accord, mimosa, olive absolute, white pepper, and coleus root; and base notes of aged Thai oud, Cambodian oud, Vietnamese oud, orris root, costus root, flouve absolute, cypriol, vanilla, spikenard, sandalwood absolute, benzoin, and musk.
