Leaf by Jil Sander is a Citrus Aromatic fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Leaf was launched in 2025. The nose behind this fragrance is Julie Massé. Top notes are Lime and Aldehydes; middle note is Cardamom; base note is Mint. Clear-cut. The first Jil Sander fragrance collection fuses botany and technology in six minimalist, unisex formulas in which the olfactory marks of aldehydes cut across key natural ingredients, giving every fragrance unique shapes and volumes. The leading idea was to change perspective and recalibrate traditional proportions, creating radical compositions that use only the essential: the fragrance, infused with 3 key natural ingredients, the synthetic molecules of aldehydes, alcohol from upcycled carbon emissions, and water. The ensuing formulas are characterized by the radical olfactory signature of aldehydes - sparks of light flashing through the fragrances, that amplify the key notes and the harmonics of the main ingredients, and give to every natural material the right exposure and new ways of expression. Ingeniously simple, they generate vertical, unexpected yet comfortable fragrances, devoid of anything incidental. An advanced approach to composition that does enhance through subtraction and specific accents; through clear-cut compositions in which the immediacy of the results hides the complexity of the creative process. As the fragrances are formulated using only alcohol, water, and fragrance, they can change color over time, without their olfactory quality being affected. Thanks to the aldehydes, the combination of upcycled Key Lime, CO2 extracted Cardamom, and the breath of Cornmint from India has a citrus, mandarin-like sparkle. The composition would have been suave and velvety if the creative use of the aldehydes would not enhance its greenness with an impactful, hyper-realistic, and electric tone, turning it into a fragrance which is equally sharp and soft; bright, leafy, and zesty.
