"The Solstitium name comes from the Latin words 'sol' and 'sistere' (meaning the sun has stopped moving). Its roots lie in the ancient Roman celebrations of the sun's rebirth; after disappearing into obscurity it returns to life shining brighter than before. The Winter Solstice represents a symbolic end, followed by regeneration.
