"Cats were welcome additions to a Viking household, and often given to new brides who were establishing their own homes. An appropriate gift, considering that cats are associated with Freyja, goddess of love, whose chariot was drawn by two huge Norwegian Forest cats. The enormous, fluffy cats were associated with mythological forest spirits; we agree that they’re pretty magical. Not a loud fragrance, but one that treads on soft paws and wraps itself around you. Forest Cat is not wholly domesticated -- it carries the scent of forest dirt and trees and cold clean air in its soft fur.
