Oud Indochine by Maksim Perfume is a fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Oud Indochine was launched in 2024. Oud Indochine was created by Maxim Bortnikov and Rajesh Balkrishnan. Top notes are Cardamom, Saffron and Vanilla; middle notes are Myrrh, Beeswax, Frankincense, Guaiac Wood and Labdanum; base notes are Indian Oud, Dark Chocolate, Thailand Oud, Agarwood (Oud), Cacao Pod, Birch Tar and Ambergris. A fragrant tribute to French Indochina, Oud Indochine brings together perfumers Maksim Bortnikov and Rajesh Balkrishnan to recreate the scent of sea voyages starting from ports like Saigon in the late 19th century. While ships did not sail directly to Paris, they traveled through key ports like Bordeaux, with goods being reloaded in India. Despite the long journey, these treasures eventually reached the French capital. The scent combines Eastern spicy notes and Western gourmand aromas on a deep woody base, accented with precious oud from Thailand and Vietnam, creating a mystical aura that evokes the atmosphere of long trade expeditions from that era.
