Extrait d'Osmanthus by Fitzgerald and Guislain is a Floral Fruity fragrance for women and men. Extrait d'Osmanthus was launched in 2017. Top note is Apricot; middle notes are Osmanthus and Peru Balsam; base notes are Ambergris, Rose, Natural Musk and Vanilla. Extrait d’Osmanthus is an animalic soliflore highlighting Chinese Osmanthus. The base of this perfume is a painstakingly researched reproduction of an 1858 perfume recipe centered on a richly animalic ambergris and rose accord. On top of this historical base we have layered a delicious fruity floral heart comprised of a natural apricot accord and Osmanthus absolute. The hay-like and leathery undertones of the Osmanthus absolute blend seamlessly with the animalic quality of the historical base. To fully appreciate this perfume, we recommend applying it to a clean handkerchief and revisiting it throughout the day as our Victorian ancestors would have done.
