Black Chyp

Black Chyp by Jinx Smells is a fragrance for women and men. Black Chyp was launched in 2022. The nose behind this fragrance is Arthur Clay Emrick. Top notes are Grapefruit, Bergamot and Green Mandarin; middle notes are Spices, Labdanum, Civet, Black Currant Blossom, Champaca, Tolu Balsam and Vanilla; base notes are Oakmoss, Thailand Oud, Natural Musk, Ambergris, Vetiver and Sandalwood. Unorthodox, unconventional and non-compliant. Loaded with oakmoss, oud, black ambergris, and tons of siberian deer musk. A not-so-classic cassie-champaca chypre. This is my take on an old school chypre, but made bigger in every way: it has a half gram of ifra non compliant oakmoss in every 30ml bottle. The heart is comprised of a spicy, sweet, slightly waxy and narcotic floral profile, dominated by red champaca, cassie flower, civet, vanilla and nutmeg. Of course, there is also a big barbershop citrus top note of bergamot, grapefruit and mandarin. This chypre is already a powerhouse, but as the centerpiece of this collection.
