Amyris Chypre

Amyris Chypre by Onycha is a fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Amyris Chypre was launched in 2025. The nose behind this fragrance is Joseph Erwin. Top notes are Green Notes and Grapefruit; middle notes are Amyris, Rose Geranium, Violet Leaf, Jasmine and Guaiac Wood; base notes are Oakmoss, Haitian Vetiver and Patchouli. The magical synergies contained within a well-made chypre are fascinating to me. I’ve long thought that an amyris wood chypre would be a wonderful idea. So, I created this scent, which combines old-fashioned perfumery with modern techniques and technology to create something timeless yet current. The scent is a 13% eau de toilette. It opens with a clear burst of Italian grapefruit and a gentle green lift, then moves into a dry, woody heart where amyris and guaiac wood are softened by hints of Bourbon rose geranium, jasmine, and violet leaf. The fragrance settles into a classic mossy base of oakmoss, seven-year- aged patchouli, labdanum, and Haitian vetiver, creating a non-sweet, quietly smoky woody-mossy trail. Sillage is moderate and wear time is typically 6–8 hours, with the woody and mossy notes lingering close to the skin.
