Emerald Dragon

Emerald Dragon by SIAM 1928 is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for women and men. Emerald Dragon was launched in 2023. The nose behind this fragrance is Nutt Wesshasartar. Top notes are Tansy, Orris, Bergamot and Hyacinth; middle notes are Palo Santo, Castoreum, Geranium, Labdanum and Guaiac Wood; base notes are Patchouli, Oakmoss and Vetiver. "This fragrance was specially crafted to celebrate the opening of Rebellion Lab and Perfume bar, the first Thai multi-brand perfume store in Bangkok. The challenge was to create a perfume inspired by a dragon, as the store is located in the Dragon Town project. The fragrance had to clearly reflect a specific scent preference. Our creation, Emerald Dragon, represents a divine guardian of the sacred forest, using Aromatic and Woody scent profiles to signify the dragon’s habitat. The main scents we selected are Blue Tansy and Palo Santo. Blue Tansy, from Morocco, is a yellow wildflower that, when extracted, has a deep blue color. It has an Aromatic green tone with a sweet and refreshing mint scent, reminiscent of morning mist. Its scent is similar to Blue Chamomile but more complex and significantly more expensive. Palo Santo, from Ecuador, is a sacred wood believed to dispel negative energy. It has a distinct sweet scent, similar to Tonka Bean, with hints of citrus, mint, and balsamic, providing a clean and bright feeling. It was one of the first ingredients we chose when we received the brief for this perfume. We used a high-priced Indian Patchouli, which is more expensive than Indonesian Patchouli, to give the fragrance a unique character and reflect the enchanting sacred forest. We enhanced the woody notes with Orris Concrete and added a touch of Animalic tone using Castoreum Accord and Labdanum Absolute to give the scent more strong and better portray the powerful nature of the dragon. Finally, we adjusted the balance of the perfume with other notes."
