Verdades by Maison d'ETTO is a Floral fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Verdades was launched in 2024. The nose behind this fragrance is Julien Rasquinet. Top notes are Tunisian Neroli, Ozonic notes, Sicilian Bergamot and Sicilian Lemon; middle notes are Tunisian Orange Blossom, Jasmine Sambac and Turkish Rose; base notes are Vanilla Bean, Ambrettolide, Amberwood, Ambroxan, Amber Xtreme, Benzoin and Indonesian Patchouli Leaf. Maison d’Etto unveils its first new fragrance after a three-year hiatus: VERDADES, a captivating white floral and amber. Founder Brianna Lipovsky collaborated with perfumer Julien Rasquinet (prior to his departure from IFF) to bring this creation, inspired by the Olympic bronze medalist horse, Verdades, to life. VERDADES reimagines the orange blossom with an inverted fragrance pyramid. It begins with the zest of Tunisian Neroli and transitions to a heart of indolic Jasmine, Rose, and Orange Flower absolutes. It peacefully settles into a warm, resinous base of creamy Vanilla and Patchouli, embodying the timeless bond between horse and rider. “Maison d’Etto fragrances are always inspired by horses that have taken me on journeys, connecting me to the world through unspoken and invisible languages. Horses have had a magnetic presence in my life since childhood. For me, they represent the most authentic form of connection and expression. Various elements of my lived experiences with the horses have encouraged the olfactive stories and structures of each namesake fragrance,” says founder Brianna Lipovsky. VERDADES is no different. It is inspired by Verdades, a celebrated Rio 2016 Olympic and World Equestrian Games (WEG) bronze and silver medalist horse. The fragrance draws from Brianna’s cherished memories of observing the Team USA horse and rider duo during her winter sabbatical in Wellington, FL, in 2017. “The first time I experienced VERDADES (the fragrance), I knew we were on the right track. It evoked a synesthetic reaction, bringing to life the memories of the bold music of his freestyle and the vibrant orange and golden Florida sunsets that appeared as Laura did her nightly walks and grazes with Verdades on the show grounds. I watched in awe of the duo and nature while atop Canaan, a horse I was campaigning at the time and, coincidentally, another white floral in our collection. Witnessing their profound bond was truly remarkable, especially as it's rare for riders at this competitive level to be as involved as Laura was with Verdades,” says Brianna. Laura purchased Verdades as a foal in the Netherlands. Despite early difficulties, including a severe injury for Laura in 2009, she continued her journey with him. Unable to sell Verdades due to his spirited nature, she persevered, and their journey together became an inspiring tale of dedication and resilience. “This new fragrance is inspired by collective moments I have observed with horses and riders, which I admire. I work to tell olfactive stories about the horses and riders I am inspired by with this next collection. This collection is very exciting for me, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic and this new mental health pandemic. Human connection around a shared belief or love is just a beautiful thing to be a part of,” says Brianna. Brianna worked with perfumer Julien Rasquinet to realize her vision. “The idea was to do a reverse Orange Blossom and focus on the addictive and narcotic part of the flower, not the fresh part like other fragrances on the market. Orange typically connotes youth, purity, and freshness; but with VERDADES, I wanted to evoke the intimate core essence of the flower,” explains Rasquinet.
