The previous evening, at the opening of one of her exhibitions, she had promised to allow me to visit the studio where she carved her stunning creations. We entered her laboratory. An unusual, sensual perfume attracted my attention, emanating from the flowers in the garden that flanked her studio. They were tuberoses, newly blossomed. In their whiteness, the sculptures merged with the flowers, wrapped in a blanket of white dust that covered everything. The timeless beauty of the smooth curves of stone, which recalled the oriental sensuality of the white flower, inspired the creation of this perfume that I called Tuberosa Ambrata."
