The composition reflects the insect's life cycle, beginning with bright top notes and evolving into deeper, earthy undertones that allude to the extended period the cicada spends underground before its brief emergence above soil. The fragrance was created by Tiffany Witehira, founder of Curionoir, with formulation expertise provided by perfumers in Grasse, France.
