Top notes are Aldehydes, Bergamot, Orange, Clove and Myrica; middle notes are Jasmine, Rose de Mai, Ylang-Ylang and Tuberose; base notes are Mousse de Saxe, Musk, Patchouli, Labdanum, Orris, Sandalwood, Incense, Civet, Ambergris, Vanilla and Resins. A holiday Chypre in the vintage-style of bygone years. This Nouveau Vintage fragrance takes inspiration from the legendary Chypres of the 1920s. This modern recreation includes a long list of essential oils, absolutes, extracts & tinctures. This holiday-inspired fragrance opens with a bright spiced orange, bayberry and heady bergamot. An historically correct house recreation of the Mousse de Saxe accord swells to add a dry mossy vintage warmth & complexity. The heart blooms with jasmine & rose absolutes, but decadent tuberose is the star of this show. The drydown reveals soft woody tones of sandalwood, amber, leather, vanilla, deer musk accord, civet & white ambergris. This fragrance smells unapologetically vintage and very unisex. This is not for everyone, but to those who appreciate vintage chypres, this is something very special indeed!
