English Novel by Nimere Parfums is a Aromatic Spicy fragrance for men. English Novel was launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is Nikolay Eremin. Top notes are Aldehydes, Galbanum and Bergamot; middle notes are Cardamom, Licorice and Jasmine; base notes are Oakmoss, Sandalwood, Amber, Musk, Vetiver and Cedar. "For this truly fine creation Nikolay Eremin used aldehydes for the opening. Armingeat was the first to make use of aldehydes creating the scent Rêve D’Or somewhere near to year 1912 but Ernest Beaux got to be famous with the use of them ten years later. The type of aldehydes used in perfumery is called aliphatic with wide scent ranges. That’s how “English Novel” starts, shiny, brilliant, sparkly floral with a green tart notes Nikolay’s application of a chypre-making-method promises nothing less than the reconciliation of the two conflicting definitions regarding chypre fragrances – a marriage of old and new. “English Novel” is very distinguished and warm scent, a kind of fragrance you ought to wear as a gentleman. At some point I was thrown back in the era of English flower perfumes. Gentlemen scents produced by D. R. Harris & Co., Truefitt & Hill and Floris London crossed my mind. Nikolay didn’t go back in time though, he created a modern form of chypre, which first brings back a distinct memory but after a while you can experience few modern steps in his making. He’s not breaking any rules with his creation. His fragrance still brings manners and sense and taste. It’s delicious, seductive and masculine.
