Top notes are Clary Sage, Sea cucumber, Bergamot and juniper berry; middle notes are Sea Notes, Rose and Iris; base notes are Driftwood, Myrrh, Musk and Cedar. Route du Quai by Monsillage is inspired by a memory of approaching a family chalet in Rivière-Ouelle, capturing the anticipation of arrival and a sense of the river’s coastline. The composition opens with bergamot, clary sage, juniper berry, and a marine accent of sea cucumber, moves to a heart of salty air, rose, and iris, and settles on driftwood, sweetgrass, myrrh, cedar, and musk.
